02/06/07 It’s just a mouse
Unable to find a bluetooth wireless mouse, I ended up buyng a regular Microsoft Comfort Optical Mouse 3000. I really, really didn’t want to buy a Microsoft mouse. I don’t like Microsoft. But it was better than any other choice i had, and truth be told, it’s a pretty nice mouse. It feels rugged enough to last more than 2 months, and it kinda matches my Powerbook. Well, other than the big Microsoft logo on the back.
I sucked it up and installed the mouse driver (you need it to configure the extra buttons). A few seconds later this window comes up:
“You will need to restart your computer to complete the instalation”
Restart?? Holy shit, this thing is corrupting my mac. Last time I had to restart was… well, when I had a PC.
So I restarted. And it was ok, I was able to configure the side button as I pleased (I chose Exposé - it’s my duty, you know…). After all, what’s the big deal… it’s just a mouse.
