For sites you visit frequently, it's certainly easier seeing the top 9 that way than say, going into your del.icio.us or your browser's bookmarks and going individually to each one. Now if those thumbnails were updated in real time, you could look at each one before deciding to click, saving yourself yet more time! Very nice feature.
